IFN Members Enjoy Social Time on Zoom

IFN Operations Manager Jess Baker recently hosted another successful Zoom Social for IFN members to connect, chat and discuss potential business opportunities.

 

Jess told us more: "We have been running Zoom Socials for some time now, and find they are a great way to connect our members around the world for a relaxed chat. Each company in attendance was able to share some details on their services, and put faces to names by seeing the others on screen. I was also able to confirm to everyone the various ways in which I can support them in making the most of their membership; for example, ensuring their company profile pages are fully up to date." 

 

It was a varied discussion and interesting to hear the comments from our different members, with several different continents represented. Some of the subjects raised were: specialist/niche areas of business e.g. shipping personal effects and ISO tanks; the benefits of focusing on company strengths and excelling in one's area of expertise; customs clearance and how it can differ considerably from country to country; expansion/diversification and the opening of new branch offices; the upcoming IFN meeting and the opportunity to connect in person.

Jess concluded, "It was great to realise that everyone on the call was already signed up to attend our first physical meeting in Dubai in April 2024. Those who are keen and proactive about connecting with other members tend to be the most successful networkers. Meeting regularly on Zoom, ahead of meeting in person, means familiarity - and business discussion - is already there. I look forward to hear about the connections made after this call. And we cannot wait to see our members 'in real life' next year!"
