IFN Zoom Social a Success

IFN members recently met on Zoom to connect and discuss their latest experiences in the industry. We learned more about each company in attendance, as well as having some lively discussions about current issues within the industry. You can see photos below:

IFN UK Members, Frontier Forwarding, had both John and Simon in attendance at different times. They shared how business for UK forwarders is booming, with those who are able to handle post-Brexit customs regulations in demand. Frontier Forwarding is celebrating its 30th year of trading this year, so congratulations were shared too, for this great milestone.

Yeliz at Catlog in Turkiye mentioned that since the Pandemic, things have 'normalised' in terms of the changes to prices and availability of space, but the economic situation is not good. And that year has been tougher so far than last year.

Ashlyn and Elita joined us from Super Cargo Services Vietnam, and gave some more details about their company. They are working for some large clients, including Heineken beer and UNIQLO. Super Cargo have their own fleet of trucks, and warehousing capabilities too, and were keen to connect with the members further after the Zoom call, to discuss business opportunities.

It was a varied discussion and highly interesting to hear the comments from our different members. It is strongly apparent that independent freight forwarders who have invested in a dedicated network will reap the benefits of that association - be that new business, assistance with challenging shipments, or just good sound advice from trustworthy sources.
