IFN IS LAUNCHED

Year after year, new freight networks spring up, promising wonderful returns for an annual investment - ranging from minimal to extortionate. Often these new networks are started up by a freight forwarder who witnesses the achievements of the world's leading networks and thinks that, "it looks easy enough to replicate that success" - they're out to earn a fast buck. Not too surprisingly, a year or two passes and these networks are nowhere to be seen. The fact that they disappear doesn't deter others from trying; the endless cycle or recycling continues - freight forwarders are bombarded by freight network invitations on a weekly basis.

How to know, then, which Network should actually be invested in? It helps when a start-up has an established Network Owner at the helm; steady and experienced hands are best placed to lead the way. Managing Director of World Freight Network (WFN) and Specialist Freight Networks (SFN), Kelly Bunyan already has:

  • a proven track record of over 14 years
  • over 255 members
  • members in 113 Countries (and growing)

With an extensive knowledge of what freight forwarders need, Managing Director of the new International Freight Network (IFN), Kelly Bunyan, states:

"Throughout my 14 years of heading up WFN, and 6 years with SFN, I've become highly attuned to the wants and needs of freight forwarders: both in terms of the quality of service they seek from their partners, and the dedicated assistance they value in a network's staff.

We only accept the very best members into our networks, and receive applications from many high quality companies each week. Due to the maximum numbers allowed per country in WFN and SFN, this means that we sadly have to turn away many great companies based in our full countries. This was the reason I decided to launch International Freight Network (IFN): to be able to accept these great companies and connect them to other quality forwarders, whilst providing them with the same high level of personalised service that my members in my other networks have come to expect from me and my team."

Kelly has a proven track record: "At Balaji, we value our association with WFN. Since joining, we have been able to develop aggressive business with various partners in the network..." This quote is taken directly from S. Sitaram at Balaji Mariline in India, a Member of Kelly's network WFN.

Marcus Ingvorsen at ICS Australia, long term member in Kelly's other network, SFN, stated at the most recent member meeting: "Some networks tend to be more about themselves, but our network is more about the members, which is really comforting for small and medium businesses like ours."

Kelly added: "As my members will attest, I want to offer forwarders the opportunity to develop real business, as well as a hands-on approach to network management, so each individual member feels taken care of and nurtured. I believe that this high quality benchmark for membership and personalised service approach from me and my team makes WFN and SFN stand out - and IFN will, too."
