IFN Member Company Owner in the Netherlands Awarded Accolade
Trimodal Europe, IFN member in the Netherlands shared with the network that their Owner/Managing Director has recently been awarded a great accolade.
Jan Muller told IFN more:
"On the day before King's Day it is customary for a select group of people to receive an award in the name of the King. This award is given to people who have done something special for the community, business or science. The award is given by the mayor of the municipality where that person lives.
Our MD/Owner of the company, Don van Riel, received a royal award last Friday, and was sworn in as Officer in the order of the King.
He received this high award for:
> his work in the transport industry
> lecturing students about the transport business and specially rail transport
> consulting related companies and partners to improve their logistics supply chain and logistics set up.
> Being a member of various EU commissions to improve the intermodal rail business for containers and the single bulk wagonloads
> Being active safety advisor in the event of emergencies involving hazardous substances on location during transport by rail
> Many other activities too numerous to be named.
